The OmniTouch 5.7 provides a fun and affordable interface for HAI's Omni LT, Omni IIe, OmniPro II, Lumina, and Lumina Pro home control systems.

Customers can enjoy the one touch control of security (Omni family systems only), temperature, lighting, audio, and other home control functions via easy-to-recognize icons.

The unit mounts flush with the wall and features a 5.7 inch color, touch sensitive LCD screen with TFT Technology for brighter colors and better viewing angles. The two-color LED offers status at a glance, and there are selectable keyclick and beeper functions.

OmniTouch 5.7 Touchscreens are truly "plug and play" devices, which makes them easy to install. They don't require any programming and configure themselves.

Video

OmniTouch 5.7 is video capable and has the ability to see digital video of up to 6 cameras. To use the video function the OmniTouch 5.7 Touchscreen must be connected to an HAI Touchscreen Hub and Power Supply and HAI Video Encoder. Power, data and video is provided over a single Category 5 connection. Video frame rate is approximately 7 frames per second.

It is ideal for seeing who is at the front door, pool, garage or nursery. You simply touch the Video icon and select one of the 6 cameras for display. The screen will show the video image in a window with the 6 camera selection buttons. Tapping the image brings it to full screen, tapping it again brings it back to the video window. There are brightness and contrast controls for each of the 6 cameras.

Omni family and Lumina family home control systems have commands that allow control of the video feature. For example, it can automatically display the front door camera when the doorbell rings, and the pool camera if motion is detected in the pool area. Also, pressing and holding the camera selection button next to the video image can release a door strike to let your visitor in!

Audio Control

You can control on/off, volume, muting, and audio source for each audio zone.

Additionally, an OmniTouch 5.7 may be used with an OmniPro II or Lumina Pro home control system to interface with audio distribution systems from NuVo, Proficient Audio Systems, Russound, SpeakerCraft, and Xantech. Select and distribute music from any audio source to different rooms in your house simultaneously and independently. You can control on/off, volume, muting, transports, audio source, and many other functions for each audio zone.

Colors

The OmniTouch 5.7 comes with a default white cover. It has color change kits available in Almond (53A05-AL), Light Almond (53A05-LTA), Black (53A05-BL), Ivory (53A05-IV), Silver (53A05-SL), and White (53A05-WH).

HAI's Touchscreen Hub and Power Supply (Various HAI Part Numbers) supports up to eight OmniTouch touchscreens.

Firmware Updates

HAI will regularly offer free firmware updates to add features to existing OmniTouch 5.7 Touchscreens. These updates are easily done through the built-in USB connector on the front of the Touchscreen that is available when you remove the Touchscreen cover.

To update your OmniTouch 5.7 Touchscreen:

1. Download the latest firmware update from the HAI website.
   
   
2. Load the update file on a USB thumb drive.
   
   
3. Take the cover off the OmniTouch 5.7.
   
   
4. Plug the thumb drive into the USB Update Connector on the OmniTouch 5.7 Touchscreen.
   
   
5. When the USB drive is plugged into the USB Connector, the OmniTouch 5.7 Touchscreen will read the files on the root directory of the drive and display any applicable update files.
   
   
6. Select the desired file from the list and then press the “Next” button.
   
   
7. Follow the instructions on the screen.
